The Boy Scouts Of America (BSA) Program is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award in Cub Scouts or have completed the fifth grade or who are at least 11 years old but are younger than 18 years of age. If you have a child who is interested in scouting we hope that you give us the opportunity to share all the things we have to offer.

1) Families interested in joining Troop 510 are recommended to make an appointment to meet with the scoutmaster and attend a regular troop meeting before committing to the troop.
2) The Scout will fill out the new Scout application form which can be picked up at a troop meeting,the local Scout Shop or online in our FORMS section of our website. In addition to the application scouts will need to pay their annual troop dues at this time.
3) Buy his uniform (some uniform parts are available through the adult troop committee; see details under the UNIFORM section) an official Scouts BSA Handbook and if desired the current, official Scouts BSA Requirements book (suggested).
4) They will then be integrated into a Patrol of Scouts and begin to actively participate in and support the Troop.

Whats Included In These Fees?
Troop Dues cover district and troop specific patches, book, neckerchief, slide, troop t-shirt (not uniform), a great program. Second year scouts will not have as many dues if they have already purchased their book, neckerchief etc from the year before.
BSA National Membership Fees Effective January 1, 2020:
$5 Per Month (Charged Annually $60 OR Prorated Amount)
$1 Per Month Insurance Fee (Charged Annually $12 OR Prorated Amount)
These fees are charged by BSA Organization and are not used to run the daily function of the troop or the participation of it's volunteer leadership. Adult Leader Membership $3 Per Month Includes Background Check ($36 Charged Annually) plus Insurance.
What Is Not Included In The Fees?
Scouts will need to purchase their own uniform at their local scout shop or through other sources. Please visit our UNIFORM page for all the details you need. Additional activities outside of regular meetings such as camping trips will have additional costs associated.
